    Dear Mike or Vishen,

    I'll try to make this quick. Im trying to conquer about 3 keywords and their variations on google for the sole purpose of getting newsletter signups. I wrote an article for each keyword and am getting a little traffic and a couple email signups. But im ranking about 15-30 on google. Not very good.

    I want to write a ton more content for these keywords so I can get really good positioning. My question is this. Should I write this content as blog posts with wordpress or just post articles on my site? Or both? Is there any reason why I would have a preference to go either way?

    Is there some kind of general guideline to follow for when it should be a blog post and when it should be an article?

    I would recommend to always go with blog posts as opposed to articles on your sites?

    Why? I have noticed that blog posts, in particular blog posts hosted on your own domain, tend to get indexed much faster and tend to get higher rankings. We stopped writing article pages on our sites about two years ago and are now exclusively focused on writing blog posts. When you write good content and have good links between your blog posts, it will really help boost your sites ranking over time. However, you will need to wait a few months for this to really kick in. First you have to just focus on building the PageRank of your blog.
