Frankly, as a newbie I am completely overwhelmed!! I have gathered so much information from so many "experts," and in some cases, spent a lot of money without really getting much in return, I don't know where to begin or who to trust. I feel like I'm chasing the Holy Grail. I know this is a pretty general question, but can you please HELP?!
You're going to have to buy a good online course that teaches you the ropes. There are several out there like RichJerk.com but many of these sell hype.
The 6 steps you need to learn are:
Stage 1: Getting Traffic The First Stage of Internet Marketing - Gaining Traffic. This includes Search Engine Optimization, Pay Per Click Advertising, Article Promotion, Viral Marketing and everything else to do with driving those precious visitors to your site.
Stage 2: Capturing Leads The Second Stage of Internet Marketing. Getting people to sign up, subscribe, register or opt-in to your site, mailing list or database. It's all about converting visitors into leads.
Stage 3: Building Relationships The Third Stage of Internet Marketing - building a relationship with your members, subscribers and users. How to use Email Marketing, Articles, Blogs, Membership Sites, and more...to convert leads into hungry customers ready to view your offering.
Stage 4: Crafting the Offer You've built a subscriber base, now it's time to turn your hot leads into sales. How to write sizzling hot copy to make people take out their cards and buy your stuff.
Stage 5: Closing Sales Learn how to effectively use Upsells, One-Time-Offers, Downsells, Checkout Optimization and more to close more sales and increase your dollar purchase value.
Stage 6: Business Automation How to take your online business to the next level. Boost productivity, lower cost, outsource effectively, and get more done in less time with the right tools and techniques.
This is the structure I use to help newbies (and even experts) make sure there are marketing right. You can buy individual products that specialize in these stages. Or you can buy a single big product that covers all 6 stages. You could look into our course www.mindvalleylabs.com. It's built around the 6 stages concept which we developed. .
Are your 6 stages in order? Seems like you have to have something to get the traffic TO, before you get traffic. Either your own product or site or picking something to promote as an affiliate. If I start out with getting traffic, where would I send them? Looks like a Stage 0 is missing here.
Hi, I think you are correct, I am realizing that a lot of work needs to have gone on with a smaller group to start off with - i.e creating a product that has been tried and tested by this group and they can give you testimonials - it then seems right to go ahead with the process - Obviously you need to get your website up and runing then the process seems more realistic.
My question on this guys is - whats your experience in the UK market? Has it been just as effective?
The UK market is no different from the US market. I've lived in both countries and have customers in both London and New York. We've seriously not found too many differences. But lately we have noticed that UK sales have gone up at a higher rate than US sales. Could be due to the falling value of the dollar in relation to the pound. All our products are sold in dollars.
