My new website www.andamanadventures.com markets adventure holidays in Southern Thailand. We wish to attract the attention of ppl who key the following keywords into google : \'climbing\', \'diving\', \'fishing\', \'kayakking\'. I can\'t load each page with these keywords, as we have separate pages for the different activities. So the search engines won\'t think we\'re really into anything, because we haven\'t replicated our keywords all over all the pages. So we won\'t get a good ranking, so nobody will ever find us, so we\'ll make no money, so i won\'t be able to buy that new climbing rope, so I\'ll probably drop and kill a customer, so I\'ll go to jail. Maybe I\'ll come up with a better business plan in jail tho\' - all that time to think things over !! I would like to ask another question please. If I pay to have a sponsored link, will the search engines then start to rate my site more favourably, even after I\'ve ceased to pay for the sponsored link - ie is it a way to kick-start myself to a good rating - I\'m thinking of investing maybe 500 USD as a one-off kick-start marketing exercise, is this a good idea ?
Thx very much. I may well need more advice, actually, so would be interested in the services you provide. Basically, i have the business infrastructure set up, we have USPs, we can deliver what we sell. The only problem we have is that we have very few customers. So if you can propose a marketing package (link swaps, affiliates etc) that you can perform for me, I might well be interested.
Paying for sponsored links via Google AdWords is not a way to get search engines to better rank your site. This is a myth that is simply not valid. What you will need to do is to develop and implement a solid strategy to generate interest and drive traffic to your site. Building a blog on Adventure travel in Thailand could help to establish yourself.
Also, I would go after far more targeted keywords. "Fishing" is not a targeted keyword. What if someone is entering this in "England" or in the "US" for example. In that case they are not looking for Fishing in Southern Thailand. I strongly recommend that instead of blowing $500 on Google ads, you spend the money on investing in learning more about internet marketing (PPC, SEO, etc.). From the sound of it, you would probably get burnt with Google Adwords since buying ads up front will not help you increase the PageRank or SEO ranking of your site.
