You might be able to get some ideas from: www.ev1servers.net. They became the single fastest growing hosting company by offering people the latest hardware and making everything customizable. Probably not your niche but studying some of the leaders might give you more ideas.
EV1 (now EV1/The Planet) is a dedicated host provider. We are in the shared and reseller business. Most of their business model, marketing etc. simply does not apply to us.
Fair enough. When I was researching new hosting companies, I was just very impressed with the website of EV1 and their success, which is why I pointed it out to you.
i had a look at your web site and i noticed the "3 day free trial" period. (Site builder section, green box on the right).
Following the advices presented in "Risk Reversal" article (http://www.mindvalleylabs.com/articles/risk_reversal/) Why not just trying to be more remarkable with an offer of at least 30 days or better 90 days (you can always put a bandwidth limitation, or something like that)?
The site builder is actually not that popular. We're actually thinking of changing our 30 day money back on the hosting to 60 or 90. That would be much more "remarkable" in the hosting industry and reduce the risk to move to Doreo a lot.
