We are currently re-designing our sales page i.e. the page the customer reaches after the landing page having clicked on an item of clothing. The obvious plan is to increase our conversion to sale having attracted relevant traffic to our site (mainly via PPC). In your opinion what are the key points for a great Sales Page?
Where I think your site suffers is that it has too many elements distracting from the sale.
When I click on a product to buy....let everything on the page focus on WHY i need to make the purchase now. Instead, you bombard me with stuff that makes me want to go off to explore. I see links for MUSIC (why??), Newsletters, Personalize my Special Message, and that annoying scrolling animation on the top. Get rid of all of these on the sales page.
Once someone is looking at a product - the only items on the page should be focused on getting them to take out their card, or upselling them on adding something else to their purpise. Keep all the distracting elements off the page.
For an excellent case study - go to LandsEnd.com and observe how the design their product and sales page.
