Anyone that has used "Wordtracker" knows the value they place on "KEI" analysis in terms of finding a niche with little or no competition. Thus, utilizing your key words and building key word rich content will utlimately reward you with a high organic page rank. That's great, you now have a high page ranking with nobody interested in making a querry on google about you! So, my question is, if one is in (as I am ) a highly competitive tangible product field, and I want to use Wordtracker to refine my best key word phrases, why would I not want phrases that have the highest daily and monthly querries regardless of the competition if I'm using Wordtracker only to compose a PPC advertisement(s)? ......not a long term SEO strategy. Any thoughts out there would be helpful. Thanks
It depends on how well you can play the PPC game. You *do* want the keywords with high queries, but you don't want to have to pay a bunch to beat out all the competition. If you can find 2 or 3 keywords with less competition, then the demand of each is smaller, but might add up to the higher competition keyword.
