After many yrs of failing at network marketing, or shall I say, I spent 10 yrs of learning what NOT to do, I am ready for internet marketing. I am new to all this concept of Google Adsense and AdWords. (Yeah, I know, I am behind the times). I here it's great, if you know what you are doing. If not you could spend loads of money. I've been on Google and read alot of info on both AdWords and Adsense but the terms are hard to understand and some of the info in confusing.
Here's the deal. I have a product and regardless if it sells or not, I still need to build a simple website, get a payment sign up form, market and advertise the product, etc... WHERE DO I START? I have a reasonable amount of money to test my product out but I don't want to waste time or money in trying to figure the best ways to do this. People are making money with use of the internet and I know I can be one of them. I am not looking to make millions, just a decent living at it. I am looking for any advice, sites I can gain knowledge from, other peoples stories, etc... I just need a plan of action. If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated.
Scott, There are some things you need to learn before you lose your shirt in internet marketing. The first is the difference between Adwords and Adsense.... you pay for Adwords, Adsense pays you. So Adwords can get you traffic (but you pay for it), and Adsense can monetize the traffic you already have. Second, you should find out what the market wants before you pick or create a product. It's easier to sell people what they already want than to create interest in something nobody's looking for. But if you are determined to go forward with the product you have, you should check out the CTPM Process ( http://ctpm.sitesell.com/ya_think.html ) and the success stories for the SBI product. They also provide a free ebook called the Affiliate Masters Course, which is excellent. You can download one here: http://getahead.zinnia.org/Aff-Masters.zip And keep in mind that most product web sites don't work with Adsense (why distract your customer away from your product for a few pennies?), so you need to build targeted traffic (people that want your product). This is what SBI is all about.
